About Us My
Vegan Shoes is based in Stockport, Cheshire in the United Kingdom.
We've
been on the Internet since 1998 - which makes us very very mature
:-)
(They
say an Internet year is around 3 months - so we're probably
equivalent to 100 years old !! )
We started
in what was called the Dot Com Bubble, and are pleased to say we
are STILL here, STILL growing and STILL learning !!
We set
out to be different. Our plans were quite simple :
We are
happy we're getting there on the first three ... working on the
last one, as I type !
With dogged
persistance, we seek out new products to bring to you - but they
always have to meet our quality standards
(that goes for the product AND the manufacturer !!), and they
have to do what they say (and that goes for the product and the
manufacturer TOO !!)
We work
on this basis ... we put ourselves in the customers place.
After that it's easy-peasy to know what information to give, what
service to provide and what quality of goods to find and supply.
When we
find footwear like Earth, originally invented in the 1960's by a
Danish Yoga Master, disappeared and then re-born by an enterprising
French American shoemaker some two years ago, we're literally jumping
for joy. It seems that once worn, Earth are never forgotten,
and we now receive emails from people all over the World who bought the originals 50 years ago, and thank us for
re-introducing them to a Worldwide market.
That's
when we know we've succeeded :-)
(That,
and the fact they get rid of cellulite when you wear them .... as
if that was a persuading factor at all .... )
In this modern day and age, the best route to spreading the good word and the even better product is via this new fangled invention called the Internet. No
- it wasn't easy !!
Way back
then, it was a brand new technology that we knew nothing about,
and we had to make it up as we went along because no one had built
a global business to retail on the Internet before.
If you'd have asked us 5 years ago what we wanted most (apart from
some funding !!!), we'd have said some sleep !!
But here
we are, we survived and thrived and we're here to tell you the tale.
We will
continue to be different and original in both the products we sell
and the way we run our business.
